With less than a week left of the Summer Mini Catalogue, I thought I better share this card we have been making at recent Stamp-a-Stacks using the 'For Everything' Stamp Set ($47.95). This is a cute stamp set with butterflies, flowers, birds and scrolls and a great one to use with Stampin' Write Markers and Aqua Painters.

Back in the game..
Well it's been a while since I have added any pictures and this is due to a few factors...scanner not working, packing up the house ready to sell and not having ready access to my craft supplies! So I have finally got my act together and added some photo's of some of my creations of late.
The red 'Happy Birthday' card is using the 'Happy Moments' stamp set from the current Sale-a-Bration catalogue. The polka dot ribbon is from the current Summer Mini Catalogue. A very easy card to make by stamping the image with Stazon Jet Black and colouring in with Stampin' Write Markers.

Now is the time to join Stampin' Up!
If any of you have been thinking about joining Stampin' Up! well now is the time to do so. During Sale-a-Bration, if you join SU! by purchasing the Starter Kit, not only would you receive 3 free Stamp Sets from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue but you would also be entitled to choose a free stamp set from the Idea Book and Catalogue (valued up to $79.95). Of course, the ongoing benefits are the discounts and commissions received to help fund your 'habit' of stamping and craft!
As a demonstrator, you'll keep 20 percent of the personal net sales you earn through workshops and customer sales. This 20% discount also applies for your personal SU! purchases which was the main reason why I joined. Another great benefit of joining is that your first order placed as a demonstrator over $300, will entitle you to a 30% discount or if it is a workshop order, 30% instant income. With the Autumn / Winter Mini catalogue being released on April 1st, this is great timing as there are some great products coming along which I know you will all love and like me, will find very hard to resist!!
The great thing about Stampin' Up! is that there is no pressure for workshop bookings, all you need to achieve is to keep your personal quarterly sales at $500 min and you will remain as a demonstrator. Believe me, this isn't hard! If you only did one workshop in the quarter with your friends and family as well as your own purchases from your wish list, you will keep it ticking along!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or require further information.

Lot's happening!
Well, over the month of February, a lot has been happening in my life! Besides just going to Sydney to see George Michael in concert (a lifelong dream now ticked off the list!), my husband and I have bought a house in the Barossa Valley and have sold our current home. It hasn't been an easy decision because I do love our home but sometimes, life just dangles carrots that you find impossible to resist and basically, if we didn't do it now, we would never do it! The house we have bought is an old return verandah villa on a nice size block with a big shed and a lovely garden with a variety of fruit trees. We just can't wait to get there. So...due to this, my craft 'gear' has been all packed away neatly (I know that's hard to believe) and I haven't been able to do anything to show and share with you! I am hoping to get this all out again in the next few weeks so keep watching and I promise to be more consistent!

Stampin' Pastels
The above card is one that is a nice effect and very easy. Using Whisper White Kraft stamp pad, I have stamped the flowers and then used Stampin Pastels with cotton wool and rubbed the pastel colour into the flower. It also looks good just with one colour and alternately leaving the flower white. The sample I have made uses Rose Red, Elegant Egglplant and So Saffron. The Stamp set is Asian Bloomss and Short and Sweet.

Sale-a-Bration Starts Today
Sale-a-Bration starts today! This is a great time where you earn a free stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue when you spend over $100. Remember, it is a free Sale-a-Bration set for every $100 spent. Other ways to earn more free stamp sets are to join Stampin' Up! or host a workshop where sales reach over $600. Further details are listed below in my previous post. As I predicted, my scanning device on my printer isn't co-operating so I haven't yet been able to scan the brochure so if you would like a copy of the brochure, please contact me and I will send one out to you. Alternatively, log on to www.stampinup.com.au to check out the PDF of the catalogue under the 'specials' tab.

Animal Stories

Here is a sample of a Birthday Card using the Giraffe stamp from the 'Animal Stories' ($24.95) stamp set from the Summer Mini. I have also used a sample of the Tall Tales DSP which has some great animal prints. The technique I have used is 'rock'n'roll' where I have stamped the Giraffe in So Saffron then rock 'n' rolled it on Chocolate Chip ink.

Upcoming Sale-a-Bration Promo and other info...

This is a great promotion that runs from January 25 to March 31 2010. Basically, there are 3 easy ways to earn free Stamp Sets from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue:
1. Spend
Spend $100 with Stampin' Up! and you earn one free Sale-A-Bration Set of your choice (choice of 4). Remember, there is no limit, so for every $100 you spend, you earn a free stamp set!
2. Host
Host a Workshop of at least $600 and earn one free Sale-A-Bration Set in addition to the generous Hostess Benefits.
3. Join
Join Stampin' Up! during Sale-A-Bration and receive a free Stamp Set from the Idea Book and Catalogue (up to $79.95).
The stamp sets from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue are lovely and I will try to upload them from January 25.
Please contact me if you would like to book a Workshop during Sale-A-Bration so you and your friends can make the most of this promotion or if you simply have your own Wishlist that you would like to order from, I can arrange for your order to be sent directly to you.
Stamp Club
I am looking to run another 'Stamp Club' again this year. Basically, there are 6 members who each take a turn in being a hostess without hosting a workshop. To ensure we meet the $300 hostess benefits criteria, each member spends $50 per month and if it is your turn at being a hostess that month, you get the free hostess money (at least $30) and a Hostess Stamp Set of your choice. This is a great way of building up your collection on a gradual basis and receiving the hostess benefits without hosting an actual workshop. If I have enough members (I require 6), I will start in the last week of January, that way you receive 3 opportunities to receive a Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set if you spend over $100 so please let me know ASAP if you wish to join or have any questions regarding the stamp club.

Happy New Year!!
Okay so I know this is all a bit belated but Happy New Year to you all! We have been down at West Beach since Boxing Day and only arrived home today. Not having a computer made for a nice break from technology but frustrating too, it's amazing how much our lives rely on it these days! It was strange to not have any craft projects to do but it was nice to just sit and relax and it is now very hard to get motivated to do anything! As I have nothing to show in the way of craft for my holiday period, here is one I prepared earlier...
Thank you to all of you who helped make 2009 a successful and fun year for me and I look forward to catching up with you all again soon..
Sale-a-Bration is coming so keep watching for more info and don't forget the Stampin' Up! Sale that is currently on, details of items on sale are listed in my previous post.
