Living the Dream!
Well it has been four weeks now since we have relocated to the beautiful Barossa Valley. I must say it has been one of the most empowering experiences for me to move to town where I knew no-one and discovering places like shops, cafes etc. At this point, we are loving it, I have met some lovely people and the change in our daughter has been unbelievable! Her previous best friend 'TV' has been ditched for spending time in the garden and helping me bake and cook in our country kitchen! The home and garden are everything I could have dreamed of as well as having my craft room all set up with a beautiful view to the garden and I just need to find time to create more things!
In a few months time, once the kitchen is renovated, I would like to hold a special day of 'Cupcakes and Craft'. I will keep you posted on the date so you can book it in you diary and rule yourselves out for the day!

New Autumn / Winter Mini Catalogue

The new Autumn / Winter Mini Catalogue was released on April 1st with some great new products and 3 new colours! Stampin' Up! have released the 'Big Shot' which is an embossing tool and I'm very keen to get my hands on it (have been a bit slack in ordering due to the move and such!). They have released clear stamp blocks making it easier to stamp with new punches, new hostess gifts and the new colours of Melon Mambo, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry with ink pads, refills, A4 Card Stock and Polka dot Grosgrain Ribbon being released in these colours. In the next few weeks I will sample some products on my blog but please be patient because I am in between houses! There is lots to share so please let me know if you would like a copy and I will send one to you.

For Everything
With less than a week left of the Summer Mini Catalogue, I thought I better share this card we have been making at recent Stamp-a-Stacks using the 'For Everything' Stamp Set ($47.95). This is a cute stamp set with butterflies, flowers, birds and scrolls and a great one to use with Stampin' Write Markers and Aqua Painters.

Back in the game..
Well it's been a while since I have added any pictures and this is due to a few factors...scanner not working, packing up the house ready to sell and not having ready access to my craft supplies! So I have finally got my act together and added some photo's of some of my creations of late.
The red 'Happy Birthday' card is using the 'Happy Moments' stamp set from the current Sale-a-Bration catalogue. The polka dot ribbon is from the current Summer Mini Catalogue. A very easy card to make by stamping the image with Stazon Jet Black and colouring in with Stampin' Write Markers.

Now is the time to join Stampin' Up!
If any of you have been thinking about joining Stampin' Up! well now is the time to do so. During Sale-a-Bration, if you join SU! by purchasing the Starter Kit, not only would you receive 3 free Stamp Sets from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue but you would also be entitled to choose a free stamp set from the Idea Book and Catalogue (valued up to $79.95). Of course, the ongoing benefits are the discounts and commissions received to help fund your 'habit' of stamping and craft!
As a demonstrator, you'll keep 20 percent of the personal net sales you earn through workshops and customer sales. This 20% discount also applies for your personal SU! purchases which was the main reason why I joined. Another great benefit of joining is that your first order placed as a demonstrator over $300, will entitle you to a 30% discount or if it is a workshop order, 30% instant income. With the Autumn / Winter Mini catalogue being released on April 1st, this is great timing as there are some great products coming along which I know you will all love and like me, will find very hard to resist!!
The great thing about Stampin' Up! is that there is no pressure for workshop bookings, all you need to achieve is to keep your personal quarterly sales at $500 min and you will remain as a demonstrator. Believe me, this isn't hard! If you only did one workshop in the quarter with your friends and family as well as your own purchases from your wish list, you will keep it ticking along!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or require further information.

Lot's happening!
Well, over the month of February, a lot has been happening in my life! Besides just going to Sydney to see George Michael in concert (a lifelong dream now ticked off the list!), my husband and I have bought a house in the Barossa Valley and have sold our current home. It hasn't been an easy decision because I do love our home but sometimes, life just dangles carrots that you find impossible to resist and basically, if we didn't do it now, we would never do it! The house we have bought is an old return verandah villa on a nice size block with a big shed and a lovely garden with a variety of fruit trees. We just can't wait to get there. So...due to this, my craft 'gear' has been all packed away neatly (I know that's hard to believe) and I haven't been able to do anything to show and share with you! I am hoping to get this all out again in the next few weeks so keep watching and I promise to be more consistent!

Stampin' Pastels
The above card is one that is a nice effect and very easy. Using Whisper White Kraft stamp pad, I have stamped the flowers and then used Stampin Pastels with cotton wool and rubbed the pastel colour into the flower. It also looks good just with one colour and alternately leaving the flower white. The sample I have made uses Rose Red, Elegant Egglplant and So Saffron. The Stamp set is Asian Bloomss and Short and Sweet.
